You're right, but I also think that getting them over time can mean very different things depending on the player. For players who enjoy spending time in the dreadnought, they'll stumble across Hadium flakes on a regular basis. But for players who rarely or never spend time in the dreadnought, there is no option but to go out of your way to acquire them, which can feel like a grind :)

Yeah, but for so can getting sword kills in the crucible. That feels like a grind to me. But some people that might be enjoyable. Everything can be considered a grind to some people.

The interesting thing about crucible quests is that I think they generally tend to be a bit more contentious than PvE quests. Some people just plain don't enjoy PvP, so any quests that require PvP activities feel like a grind. But even people who love PvP (like myself) run in to problems with some of the crucible quests. I think it's because so much of what happens in a crucible game is out of our own personal control. It's super frustrating when I'm doing everything I can to compete quest requirements, but can't progress because of my opponents, or teammates, or lag, etc.

Not only that, but I feel like whenever I do quests, especially the Chaperone quest, I feel like I'm not actually helping my team. Which in PvP seems super wrong. In PvE it's no big deal. I also don't really like playing PvP when I'm not playing with Buddies. So when I do Quests in PvP I feel like I'm just being a detriment to my team.
