Question about farming the gatekeeper (Destiny)

This is it. Once you kill him, if you immediately go to orbit, you keep the checkpoint for the boss. So a "farming run" of him takes about 30 seconds of actual gameplay. Any time I go to orbit, I kill the gatekeeper once before doing whatever the next thing I was going to do was.

Also, when I'm watching football games on Sundays, I kill the gatekeeper during each commercial break.

note: Because you can kill him soooo quickly, I don't recommend just farming him over and over since there's still a 5-6 minute hidden cooldown on the 3 of Coins, and sitting in orbit for 5 minutes between runs is boring.
