From what I remember, I got at least two Powerful Gear drops from the following things within the last week: Play 3x Daily Story Missions, Play a match of Crucible, Play a Strike. So... from my point of view, I believe I got two weeks worth of engrams in a single week. If that's the case, and those things are supposed to refresh weekly, I'm not really losing out on anything?

But yes, its all a bit unclear...
