And while it felt good to win, The notion that your rewards come on the backs of other player's losses doesn't sit quite right with me. Maybe that's standard PvP design logic, but I feel like there's got to be a better way...

I'm actually the opposite, I really enjoy competitions with a clear-cut winner. That usually comes with having clear cut losers as well. I wouldn't say I'm particularly competitive, but I just enjoy competitions where you strive to win something like that.

Maybe when I finally get to play ToO I'll enjoy it for that reason, haha.
