This week in Destiny, we start preparing for the next battle. We have a bunch of very exciting news to share with you all regarding Destiny 2: Into The Light, the two-month content update coming to all players in April. Here's what we've got for you today:
Let's get on with it!
Today, we are ready to share when our next big content update is coming. Destiny 2: Into the Light will launch on April 9 along with Update 7.3.6, which also includes further tuning to the sandbox and quality-of-life updates.
Destiny 2: Into the Light will deliver new game content, available for all players, throughout the months of April and May in preparation for the launch of The Final Shape in June. And what types of content, you might ask? Well, we will share more information about that very soon...
As soon as Tuesday, you can see what Destiny 2: Into the Light is all about in not one, not two, but three livestreams! Each will focus on different part of the content update and be presented by our developers, who will be sharing tons of information and providing a hands-on preview.
The first livestream will take place at 10 AM PT on March 19. The next two will air on March 26 and April 2, both starting at 10AM PT. Go follow us on Twitch and mark the dates on your calendars so you don't miss any of the big news.
While you watch, keep an eye on the two new Twitch Drops available. If you watch for at least 30 minutes across any of the three livestreams, you will earn the "Those Held Dear" emblem. And if you watch for at least 2 hours total, you will also earn an additional emblem called "Echo Diamond." Here's a peek at both:

As always, be sure you link your Twitch profile to your BungieID to earn these Drops!
Over the last year, the Weapons team has been collecting a lot of feedback on weapon crafting and enhancement. We recognize players want more access to enhanced perks, so they can make their favorite gear even more capable.
While we aren't fully ready to talk about the entire weapon landscape of The Final Shape, the new and reprised weapons you collect from the Prophecy dungeon and from Guardian Games All-Stars, as well as the new weapons in rotation for Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, and Nightfalls, will all retroactively be enhanceable when the Final Shape releases on June 4.
So, keep this in mind when you start earning the following weapons:
Trials of Osiris
Iron Banner
Nightfalls
Guardian Games All-Stars
Prophecy Dungeon
Shout out to all the Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans for making their class proud this past week and a half. The Guardian Games All-Stars event entered its second week this past Tuesday, and even if Hunters have an advantage right now, there's still plenty time for any of the classes to win..
Here are the latest standings:
Class | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
Hunters | 7 | 1 | 0 |
Warlocks | 0 | 7 | 1 |
Titans | 1 | 0 |
7 |
Remember that those Focus Activities happening during the day have a huge impact on the daily winner. The same thing goes for Diamond Medallions, which not only get your class closer to winning, but also get you a guaranteed Guardian Games Memento, too.
We couldn't be prouder of our community for going all-in for our third Guardian Games Cup. While we all know every team is giving it their all, only an elite few will manage to climb to the mountaintop and make it to our weekly list.
Here are the teams winning in each category, according to the data we collected this very morning:
No matter how your class is doing, we know you are all very proud to be a Hunter, a Warlock, or a Titan. So, here are a few Guardian Games-inspired wallpapers to show your colors everywhere.

In case you haven't noticed yet, this week we updated our Destiny 2 Companion App to support the current Fireteam Finder system. It's launching in beta, so please bear with us if you see anything not working perfectly at first. The legacy Find Fireteam will still work during this time, but our intention is to phase it out. Starting March 19, the web version of Fireteam Finder will also be available for all players, also as a beta.
Fireteam Finder on web and mobile apps brings additional features outside of the game to help you plan for upcoming events. When creating new listings, you have the option to create a Playing Now or Scheduled listing. Scheduled listings will not appear in-game until you activate them to become a Playing Now listing. You are only allowed to have one Playing Now listing and must be logged into the game to activate.
In the future, we plan to include notification support for Fireteam Finder in both the app and web versions, along with other improvements as we work to remove the Beta tag. Stay tuned for more details in the future.
The official class endorsement of the Player Support Team goes to Warlocks. As always.
Known Issues List | Help Forums | Bungie Help TwitterPLAYER PRIVACY AND SAFETY UPDATE
In our ongoing efforts to promote player privacy and safety online, Destiny 2 now requires date of birth information from players.
When players log in, those who haven't updated their birthdate on Bungie.net will be met with a birthdate screen before they can access Destiny 2. This is a one-time account request and will be mandatory for all players before they can enter the game.
Our Date of Birth Requirements article has information regarding parental controls, answers to commonly asked questions, and more.PLAYSTATION VOICE AND TEXT CHAT
We are aware of an issue preventing PlayStation players from utilizing voice and text chat since Update 7.3.5. We are actively working on a solution and will deploy it as soon as possible.CLAIM YOUR EVENT CARD ITEMS
This year's Guardian Games concludes at the weekly reset on March 26 at 10 AM PT. Players should claim any completed objectives and available rewards from their Guardian Games Event Card prior to the conclusion of the event.
Those who have purchased the Event Card must also claim the Guardian Games Event Pack within the Event Card to obtain those items. The Event Card and any unclaimed rewards will no longer be available once the event ends.CODE OF CONDUCT UPDATES
As we expand into new and exciting projects, we have revised our Code of Conduct with new Community Standards and Codes of Conduct. These updates outline the principles we ask our community to follow, fostering respect, fair play, and camaraderie, all of which are essential for the future of our community.KNOWN ISSUES
While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:
- PlayStation players are unable to use text or voice chat.
- Skimmer grinding only works with the crouch toggle setting, but it doesn't respond to the hold crouch setting.
- We are investigating an issue where the Details screen under Eva's Guardian Games Event Information redirects players to purchase the Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. The Witch Queen is not required to participate in Guardian Games All-Stars.
- The Last Rite Scout Rifle uses the same visual appearance as The Prophet Scout Rifle.
- The Drop In and Top of Class Guardian Games All-Stars quests remain available on Eva even after the player has already claimed them.
- The Final Strand quest is not progressing when the Cabal missive is acquired.
- The Trials Passage of Persistence will flaw if the first match on a card is a loss.
For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. If you encounter other issues, please report them to our #Help forum.
And remember, Guardians., go slow and safe in the... let's call it holographic road. Trying to skip some parts, even with the Skimmer, can ruin your flawless run.
And because we are still celebrating the launch of the Skimmer, we wanted to share another video. We just loved the meme trick names.
Don't you hate it when your Void invisibility doesn't make you invulnerable to laser doors? Anyway, we hope that Hunter makes it into the Deep Stone Crypt eventually.

And we are done for today. How are those Prophecy runs going? We've been having a blast and even got some very fancy new rolls. The Feeding Frenzy and Onslaught Submachine Gun still eludes us, though, but we will keep trying while we wait for Destiny 2: Into the Light to arrive.
Until then, Titans and Warlocks, if you have a coup de force ready to beat the Hunters, you better get that started. Make us proud, Guardians!
