I would probably still buy it, but..

They completely negated year 1. They had a decent attempt at making old raids viable by having you do atheon for the NTTE quest, but nonetheless its still a useless raid. All the gear that was not brought foward is still pretty useless outside of that raid/crucible.

If I knew that there would essentially be a yearly reset, I would be hard pressed to play. They are in between a rock and a hard place. They have to please console numbers of players with gear/mmo based gameplay. They don't want the gap to be too big to deter people, in doing so, they make being a "invested since day 1 player" a less prestigious item. One good thing that happens MMOs, if you invest the time, eventually someone is going to look at you and say "Wow, this guy has been around and knows what he is doing" or "I want to work towards that gear". In Destiny, its not the case.

After re-reading that I was comparing Destiny to MMO, which is completely wrong of me. But there is something to it. Some of you may understand where I went, or I could be insane. Happy monday.
