The Game is Demanding (Destiny)

Not so much on launch, but now more than ever, it doesn't have to be demanding.

I don't disagree, but if I'm going to go back in time and convince myself not to play the game, this is the route I would take. I would talk about grinding for gear, forever 29, the silly light level system, and collecting all the year 1 exotics only to dismantle them shortly after TTK came out.

I also have to wonder if you are able to enjoy a few hours here and there because you already have completed the raid or collected the gear you care about. If you were still chasing after a certain exotic would you only put in 5 hours a week, or would you be playing much more?

And as far as demanding goes Destiny wants you to keep up. My game playing habits in the past were to play a number of different games and revisit old games that I enjoyed on a regular basis. While I enjoy Destiny, I can't revisit it like I could with Halo or XCOM. I can't play through a campaign or check to see who is playing multiplayer and then move on to the next game. Destiny doesn't really work that way. Had I not bought TTK the amount of content to revisit wouldn't really be there. I couldn't drop by FWC and buy a new helmet despite the fact that the helmet looks exactly like the one I had a launch.
