New Favorite Crucible Primary (Destiny)

Mida is a mystery to me. It's clearly the new big thing; I get DESTROYED by it in PVP. Many people using it, many people outshooting me (usually when I'm wielding a pulse rifle).

I read something a couple weeks ago that claimed one of the Destiny data aggregation sites was showing it as THE most-used primary in PvP right now. Not really sure where that came from, since the gun itself hasn't been changed much (directly) in quite a while. Maybe the overall changes to the meta just brought SRs up in the world - MIDA's always been a standout in the group, I guess.

I also remember something quite a while back claiming that if you made all headshots, it had one of the fastest TTKs of any primary - if I remember right, it was only bested by The Last Word (NLB and Universal Remote don't count). Of course, that was long enough ago that things might have changed. But I know that the one and only time I ever put any real effort into PvP, I used MIDA, and even in my hands it felt like a wrecking machine.

As for what you might be doing wrong, I don't really know anything for sure, but Cody's probably right. Headshots are pretty important. And if you're used to a certain firing rhythm with SRs, it's likely that MIDA can go a bit faster.

The whole MIDA trend in PvP actually has me a little worried they might nerf it, which I don't think is necessary and would potentially make it less useful in PvE, where I live. I genuinely don't think it's an overpowered gun, it's just very fast and precise, and hence rewards good shooting.
