Yes, that is exactly the point. A hair trigger MIDA with an Elite controller effectively breaks the gun about as bad as a Warlocks Tlaloc does when they're super is charged. Both of those combined effectively make it the fastest TTK of any weapon by leaps and bounds which is why it is soo sought after by everyone. The only reason we didn't see this level of MIDA dominance back in the days of the exotic handcannons was because controllers didn't fire on a hair trigger like the Elite does now. If Bungie decided to remove the hair trigger perk on MIDA we might actually see it fall in line with other scouts of its impact class yet it would be much like its year 1 self, good, dependable, and even exotic, but not stupidly overpowering.
