?? Doesn't the opening D1 cinematic contradict this ??
Yeah, but it wouldn't be the first thing to do the time is cyclical / Eternal reoccurrence garbage and use that to lie to the audience about where they are in time (e.g. Battlestar Galactica, The Matrix)
Yeah, but the "lets pull a fast one on the audience" is not really Bungie's way of storytelling. I just think there's not enough evidence to seriously consider it.
