Sure, but were they originally from that time period or did they time travel to that time period? :)

I seem to remember very vague implications that Vex could actually be humans far in the future. The fact that they have biological components in them definitely implies to me at least that what we see now is probably not what they looked like originally (of course biological engineering from scratch is also possible). Though so much has changed since the original Destiny reveal that even if that was implied at one point it's probably changed.
