I don't get the hate for this week's Nightfall. The first week's was much harder, the second week's was much easier. We finished with something like nearly six minutes left on our first run. And that's not bragging or some shit like that--talk to my raid partners this past week, I'm a pretty average player.
I can understand not liking the Nightfall timer, but I love it. I hated the old Nightfalls that took way to long to finish because everything was a damage sponge. Yeah, this week's boss isn't great, with his disappearing act, but he's also not really that bad, and I think the actual fight with trying to keep the shanks at bay is pretty fun.
I haven't done it, but apparently you can end the fight prematurely. When the boss goes invisible, apparently he'll climb on the walls, and if you can find him and shoot him, he'll just fall down into the pit and die.
