I got introduced to Mouse Guard over the summer and loved it. Don't remember much of Redwall though. Haven't read it in a very very long time. Not since I was a little kid. From what five bits and pieces I remember it feels a lot like Mouse Guard? Maybe? Sorta? Kinda?

Definitely. Very traditional, serious, grounded fantasy/medieval adventure, but with cool mice, rats, rodents, etc. But they both have several unique elements to them so I've never felt like they Mouse Guard is retreading the same ground.

Like you, but the opposite, I actually only got around to starting Redwall this summer, even though it's been on my to-read list since middle school. I found a first edition hardcover of the first novel last year and knew: this was the sign I was waiting for. :)
