I love Mouse Guard, Redwall - anything with warrior animals who can speak. That part of my inner child will never change. I tend to add voices and names to squirells I pass by, so yeah, slightly crazy.

Anyway, he showed up again (and that crazy old man) in something I did last year where I was experimenting with digitally coloring scanned-in pencils.

He's been in a lot of sketches since then, with this squirrel as his sidekick with a crossbow. There's a map of an island plotted. Just one of those stories in the back of my head I pull out when I want to have some fun and not be stressed out by some project I've thought about way too much.

I've... seen this before. Have you posted it elsewhere?

Probably Tweeted or Facebooked them when I first finished them. They've always been on my portfolio website since.
