So I tried my first Heroic Strike today (Destiny)

Maybe give it another try when the modifiers change. Glass sounds kind of nasty. Cruel and I ran some Friday night when it was void singe, grounded, and whichever is the one that makes heavy ammo drop more, and it wasn't too bad (full disclosure: I was underleveled, but he wasn't). I could definitely die more easily than normal, but it wasn't D1 nightfall level or anything. Glass definitely would have made it bad.

Also, make full use of the boosts you get. Consider which weapons/subclass would synergize well. With void singe on, Cruel ran Tractor Cannon and I ran Telesto. The damage output from Telesto with Tractor Cannon's void debuff was like nothing I'd ever seen in D2 before, even with me being slightly underleveled.
