The heroic strike changes make me sad (Destiny)

I think you’re right in that they screwed up by upping the difficulty AND slowing progression.

I think they should have left the weekly milestone as the Normal difficulty strikes and found another way to incentivize Heroic strikes (like upping the power level for drops—make it a decent source to farm power, maybe increase Vanguard token rewards).

The problem is that they’ve once again “left content behind” by making the weekly milestone the Heroic Strikes. What’s the point of doing Normal Strikes now? It makes folks feel like they have to be doing Heroic strikes or they’re not progressing (which also happens to be literally true, if you want that weekly milestone).
