So Kermit, cheapLEY, DiscipleN2k, squidnh3, bluerunner and myself have now completed two of the encounters. Let's discuss the encounters and strategies for effectively completing them!

Encounter number 1 was Kalli. For this raid boss there are 4 unique symbols. We labelled these Figure-8, Infinity, Smiley, and Double-Headed snake. (I'm open to better names for next time.) There will be 6 symbols in the "inner ring" of the arena and 9 symbols above plates in the "outer ring". The arena is broken up into thirds. There are also a set of cubbies along the wall of the inner ring that will open if you do stuff correctly and stay closed if you don't. After some time has passed, the boss will kill everyone unless they are able to get inside of one of the cubbies for safety. To get into the cubbies, you have to stand on the plates around the room long enough for a taken knight to spawn and kill him. That will remove the corresponding symbol from the inner ring and allow the top or bottom cubbies to open. Kill both knights that match the symbols on that side to get both the top and bottom row of cubbies.

At a high level we tackled this encounter by splitting into pairs with each pair taking one third of the room. We numbered each third starting clockwise from the spawn area. When the encounter starts, players take stock of which of the 4 symbols does not appear in the inner ring and call out the missing symbol (so if there are two smileys, two infinities, and two figure eights we would call "ignore double headed snakes"). Then each third takes two of the plates in their area and we call for a floater (decided ahead of time for each third) to fill in if one area has an extra plate. This will result in each player responsible for standing on a single plate. To help lower-light players we typically assigned them to be the floaters so they would have neighbors to help kill adds if they were in trouble.

Once everyone has killed their knights we head to the center to deal damage. The first damage phase we just did everything as normal. To choose which cubby to use, each player had a number from 1-6 where 1 represents the top-left cubby and 6 represents the bottom right. This generally resulted in us selected the right cubby in time to survive without conflicts though we occasionally got confused. Once we leave the first set of cubbies we had a Nightstalker tether the adds before we kill any of them. Then we use all abilities to help do damage (melting point, etc). Sleeper seems to do the most damage of any heavy weapon. After the boss teleports away at the end, we then just rinse and repeat until the boss is "dead".
