Bounties not working? (Destiny)

Did you actually kill the boss? I tried to get the Sepiks Prime Bounty a couple days ago but because I was mopping up Fallen when he was killed, I didn't get the Bounty.
I guess it makes it harder so you can't just coast.

I'm guessing that the bounty is just like the "kill 3 walkers" bounty. You have to have the killing shot, OR be in a fire team and standing really close to the person with the kill shot (proximity assist). So if your fire team is too spread out, you won't get the bounty. Which really sucks, since in the case of the walker, you want to be spread out to draw its fire in different directions. Just get the health down low, and then meet up together for the kill shot.
