UI Change Request (Destiny)

The best usability for everyone might not result from accommodating your individual annoyance. Perhaps my opinion will change as I get more valuable stuff that I want to keep, but as is I've got quite a few legendary items and several exotics, and the fact is, I don't need the space I have now for each character as I'm actively playing the game. The only time I've run into the problem with not having room for whatever the postmaster has is when I've failed to dump the green garbage I've picked up out in the field. I don't understand how you can say there is "no way you can pick it up." If you're ever going to manage you stuff and make room, isn't the Tower the ideal place to do it?

When I am playing the strike playlist I don't want to constantly return to tower to cash in decoherent engrams. I also want to carry a spread of weapons because there are a variety of enemy types/combinations between all the strikes. I will carry some exotics but can't equip >1 at a time so I need legendary alts. I may also want to level up one or more weapons, have my levelled up weapons in reserve and cover the three damage types.

Strikes drop so much loot that I am constantly shredding weapons and armour hence I would love a way to auto-shred this colour and below with the ability to lock my solo blue that picks up ammo.

I think returning to the Tower provides a nice break, and if you're suggesting that there be a way to decrypt items without the Cryptarch, then you're breaking the logic of the game. Sounds like you want to carry all weapon types with all damage types all the time, but that would take away some of the decision making (which weapons do I want to carry), which is changing a fundamental aspect of the game. I think your auto-shred idea is interesting.
