This was the reason I didn't expect our choices to matter much for the end of the third game. Your choices barely had any real consequences within the games themselves, why would they matter over 3 games? I think I am probably just spoiled by my favorite RPG of all time: Chrono Trigger which had COMPLETELY different endings based on when and how you beat the story.
