Playing Destiny on Xbone (Part 2)... (Destiny)

I can't seem to get the hang of the controls.

- This first half I currently can not answer in good faith. I was fine playing the PS4 Alpha though.

- The bumpers. Oh God, the Bumpers... I'd say that I successfully pull off a super about 30% of the time that I hit them (usually I just throw a grenade or melee instead). I tried using other schemes (I usually go Puppeteer), but all of them assign a vital move to the bumpers, which kills me. I've tried getting used to the stiffness by using them "as intended", but that just makes me end up looking down, usually botching anything (grenade, melee, Super). How did you guys get around that?

Get around? I picked up the controller, looked at the control schemes and chose one that I liked the best. The rest is just muscle memory at this point.

I think my recourse is to get a third-party controller.

"Crush the blacks!" seems to be Microsoft's philosophy on contrast and brightness, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I always play on a lower brightness setting, and I actually like the cartoony coloration that the Xbone gives Destiny (Juicy, you could say).

Have you set up the display settings of the Xbox One for your TV? I like color, so like the mad man that I am, I changed the color depth to 36 & the color space to PC (Full RGB). One that note, have you used the Xbox Calibration tool to tweak your TV settings? It's actually pretty good for something not dedicated for such things. (I know too much about this sort of thing... so if you need help do ask)

I set it to PC. It wasn't a complaint, but it does get somewhat dark in certain places (though the only thing wrong with that is that we don't have control of our flashlights... But I'll check the calibration either way, thanks!
