Destiny 2 – “Rally the Troops” Worldwide Reveal Trailer (Destiny)

So far, the story in Destiny isn't strong enough to poke fun at it and still have it hold up. Bungie appears to be trying to appeal to both sides, except 1 of those sides doesn't have a leg to stand on (yet).
I actually don't disagree but am hoping we just haven't seen that strong story yet. I still want (and hope for) a story that I can really care about.
That's my hope as well. Could be they're aiming to keep expectations surrounding the story at zero, so there's no risk of an "overpromise, underdeliver" situation.
