Oh c'mon. Buying it from some store that broke street date isn't even remotely close to preordering.
You're right, going out of his way to break the street date isn't the same as preordering, and since he didn't preorder the game, he doesn't get the gun.
Why he went specifically out of his way to try to obtain the game early just to fill the void of self-esteem or something is beyond me, but then he complains that he doesn't get the thing that he was told he wouldn't get unless he preordered? FOH, as they say...
Coldheart is really good for certain situations, but you can get much of the same done with something like Tarantula, Merciless, or even Hard Light. I dunno, they showed the gun off plenty before the game came out, you could easily tell that it would be great against bosses.
