Opportunity Cost (Destiny)

I mean what do people want from Bungie? More content that you can play and do stuff with? That's called a DLC and it's already slated to come out. Until then, have fun with these mini events or don't and have fun someplace else. But don't question the events meaning. I'm going to enjoy the event for what I get out of it. I suggest y'all do the same. And if you get nothing out of it then go someplace else to have fun.

I am under the impression that the idea behind Destiny 2 being a separate, fresh start, was so that Bungie could jettison the baggage of Destiny 1, improve the workflow, and provide a greater quantity of fresh content. I do not remember where this impression came from - whether it's based on something Bungie said, or if it is a community group-think thing. Regardless, it is still the impression that I have.

I do not think D2's Dawning and what it appears Crimson Days will be meet this threshold. If the flip side of that coin is that we'd have D2's content in D1, but without The Dawning and Crimson Days, well, I'd take that deal.

I've had plenty of fun in D2 (the public event/patrol loop specifically is a lot of fun, and probably an improvement over D1), but it's hard not to be a little frustrated at all the things D2 does worse than D1 when viewed through that lens.
