I agree with this, which is why I'm not doing it (there are parts which are fun, I'm just a total no-go on Crucible). It's likely that other armor with better perks will be coming along shortly when Forsaken launches, so unless you're REALLY concerned with being as high of a light level as possible, or just can't do without the look of the Solstice armor, Solstice shouldn't be considered a necessity at all.

Honestly, the only real reason I'm doing it is for the 50 Triumph points. With that and Zavala rank, I'll be at the t-shirt. I don't feel like hunting down Latent Memories, I doubt that I'm going to get through Spire of Stars in the next few weeks, and, while I'm working on it, I don't know if I'll get through the Lost Prophecies for Sagira's shell in time.
