How Big?

Gamasutra interviewed Jason Sussman about the art direction of Destiny, and since Bungie's departments work very closely he talks a lot about design and gameplay decisions. (INSANEdrive also pointed it out on the forum)

Watch that Warlock High Five

gamingboltlogo.pngJason Sussman talked to GamingBolt about Destiny recently - they covered a lot of ground. (There are also a few transcription issues, so if you read something that makes you think "OMG Bungie never told us about ____" you should take it with a grain of salt.) It's a little older (the Beta is mentioned as 'upcoming'), but still has plenty of relevant info. Read it for great tidbits about background research, explorable space, multiplayer count rationale, and more!

Sussman Escapes

That Sussman guy is everywhere today! Looks like Jason Sussman sat down with The Escapist, too - it's a 10-minute video interview in which Jason hints at the depths of the environments we'll be exploring. It's a fascinating talk - go catch up on the tidbits you might have missed over the last couple of weeks!

Putting it in the bank

gamezone.pngJason Sussman discussed Half-Life 3 (and maybe a little Destiny) with the folks at GameZone - it's a great read! Swing by for info about the philosophy of a public Alpha, how Halo figures into things, and how Destiny's persistent world will work (among other things). Thanks, DaDerga.

A Vibrant Post-Apocalypse

Environment Artist Jason Sussman talked to GamesBeat about the art style for Destiny - it's a great piece! Reading his answers, I was reminded of the art style (and the rationale) behind Halo, back in the day - the vibrant colors, the conscious choice between 'bleak' and simply 'abandoned'. Go read! Thanks, Xenos.
