so what weapon slot is it in? (Destiny)

It's got to be heavy, right? That thing is slicing through opponents on first touch. It blew up one of those cabal ships lickity-split! During the strike I started shooting one of those ships. Put a full clip of scathelock(?) into it and just barely saw a sliver of life go down.

I just saw that ad to be like one of those Titanfall 2 Titan Profiles that show every Titan obliterating an enemy with each of the abilities, even though they do far less damage in-game. Wouldn't be as exciting watching the new exotic plinking away at enemies now, would it?

If that thing does as much damage as that video potentially shows, what is the ammo like? You can only carry one shot at a time? Imagine a group of six using that in a raid...boss battles would be over [snaps finger] like that!

Looks to be an overheat mechanic, so I imagine it burns through the ammo supply like an SMG, but I guess we'll have to see when it launches.

The video said something like "a new type of weapon." Which makes me curious about some other things. The Exotic "mini gun" that was in the Beta. This new gun. That gun that Kovik uses. Are they going to start making some one-off weapon types for exotics? Because that could be cool.

That's totally what I hope for. I want exotics to stand out and change the encounters, not simply have a sharply tweaked perk and such. MIDA? Meh. Dragon's Breath? EYOOOOO!
