Agreed,

Cayde is the only one who repeatedly attempted to take matters into his own hands, even if it cost him.

It cost him an arm, at least for a day.

And I haven't seen anyone mention what he says if you wait around instead of jumping though the teleporter. Everybody gives their inspiring speeches, and after about 30 seconds of awkward silence he says something along the lines of "Well, we had a nice moment, but you kinda let it go on too long and now it's ruined."
