Separate from load-ramping techniques or PlayStation system analysis concerns, I can think of a very quick fix for the 'abandoning our strongest supporters' problem: Let Bungie.net users with 6+ years have early access, independent of their platform of choice. Done.
I like it.But just six years? '04 or bust.

They could graduate it based on tenure so the 5 year old accounts don't feel so left out.
I've had to recreate my account more than once since Myth II. Guess I'm screwed. :P
