It was great. Made your character feel like it wasn't a badass from the start. Sometimes you had to run to survive! Then many fun quests later, , you've gotten better and you've progressed your skills, without grinding, and you head back to those same areas and reclaim your honor. If you have enough to do, there doesn't have to be any grinding.
Isn't this pretty much life? It's not like I jumped from accidently learning that lick from Blind Melon on guitar to absolutely melting thousands of faces with my bass of nuclear justice.
