Trials Adept weapons all have "Last Resort" perk (Destiny)

Is it just me, or is this a complete waste of a perk? I'm not going to say it is "useless", but I would rather have just about any other perk in its
Say what you will about the loot problems with Destiny year 1, I wanted those raid and trials weapons. Even the Iron Banner weapons were more desirable before, since you didn't need to pour higher-level guns and parts into infusing them. As it stands now, I've scrapped every raid weapon I've found, and the Trials weapons are looking to be a fair bit less exciting this time around. And with Iron Banner, the excitement of getting a new weapon is hampered by the chore of upgrading them to get them up to endgame level.

What do you all think? Am I totally off on Last Resort?

I don't know anything about Trials but I've been using the King's Fall pistol and shotgun almost exclusively since I got them. I've enjoyed my new Iron Banner gear, too. I've infused some weapons here and there, but I guess I don't feel the need to hurry them to their max stats anytime soon. I didn't feel weak during Iron Banner and the Raid at my current light level (290s). The Hard Raid might need more from my gear, but since I've only done the normal 1 and a half times, that probably wont be calling my name for a while.

Yeah I feel fine doing Iron Banner and the normal raid if I'm in the 290s as well. The same might be true for Trials, but I'm expecting level to matter a bit more than it does elsewhere just because it's so hyper competitive. And from what I've heard, beating the end of the hard-mode raid is brutally tough, even if you're over 310. Hard mode raids and Trials are 2 of my favorite activities in Destiny, so getting my light level up above 300 matters more to me than I wish it did :-/
