As promised, the Last Mail Sack is upon us today. There are some questions related to the Podcast and a few amusing looks into life at Bungie, as well as a whole mess of beautiful Destiny wallpapers and more than a couple tidbits to whet our appetite for the return of the Weekly Update. Go check it out, and then send our dear 'ol Sack off in style in the forum!
(ht: Xenos in the forums.)
It seems that our friendly neighborhood Mail Sack is back to its regular schedule! This week's edition opens with news of a new Bungie Podcast (inbound and coming in hot!) and is chock-full of community questions about life at Bungie. As always, go check it out to get the full scoop, and then wonder with me about what a "Strikes Tester" does.
The latest Bungie Mail Sack was opened yesterday, and the goodies poured out as usual - much of the Q&A focused on Germany and Gamescom, but PAX got some love, too. Go give it a read! (And thanks to INSANEdrive, for picking out some interesting bits...)
Podcasts and passports and psychics, oh my! The weekly Mail Sack has landed over on Bungie.net, and with it a fresh peephole perspective into life at everyone's favorite Destiny developer. Next week's Gamescom will keep DeeJ a little bit busy, so this is the last Mail Sack until PAX.
This mail sack is full of spiders. Seriously, don't touch it - there are enough arachnids in here to make a Devil Walker blush! On the other hand, if you manage to creep past DeeJ's web of words you'll find some interesting anecdotes about life at Bungie during Destiny's development (not to mention a few barrel rolls, death blossoms, and one giant iron superman).
How many rows of teeth does a Cabal soldier have hidden behind that mask? Does the noble Megalodon still prowl the waters of Cape Town, or did he move on to the murky depths of Old Russia? Has the Last City ever been hit by a Fallen Shanknado?
You have questions, Bungie has a Mail Sack. This week's thread is open.
Our weekly view into life at Bungie continues today with a new Mail Sack up on Bungie.net. The familiar Q&A fare whets our appetite for Destiny goodness, DeeJ makes incredible claims about his mandibular reflexes, and there's even another chance to win a signed poster with an all-new weekend contest available!
This week's Mail Sack thread is open for business, and DeeJ has posted a new scenario for you to frame your questions with:
So, imagine you're in a public place, and you find yourself sitting next to someone wearing a Bungie t-shirt. You say "Hey, do you work at Bungie?" He or She says "Yes. I sure do."
Say no more, say no more! Wink wink, nudge nudge: "What's Destiny like?"
What gameplay considerations go into building a Destiny level? Who had the most kills in the Bungie Day build of the game? What signature wrestling moves would The Murderblonde employ? All of these questions (and more) are answered in the latest Bungie Mail Sack. Be sure to stop by this photoshop contest thread afterwards - a signed Destiny poster is up for grabs!
The Bungie team finally had a chance to celebrate Bungie Day at the studio with a company-wide playtest of Destiny's co-operative and competitive modes, which means this week's Mail Sack is aglow with tantalizing tidbits of [redacted] chatter. Read on for personal project teases, weird event testimonials, and a cautionary tale from a miserable little pile of secrets. Don't miss the photoshop contest at the bottom - you can win a free Bungie t-shirt! (Thanks, Xenos.)
This week's Mail Sack has landed, and it's a rather hefty one! Winners from the seven Bungie Day Challenges have been announced, and as always, there are a whole bunch of great questions from the community. Congratulations to the winners!
The dust has only just begun to settle in the aftermath of Bungie Week, yet DeeJ is already stirring up a new cloud of community love. In other words, the Mail Sack is back open after a brief hiatus and is ready for all of your latest questions!
Today is Friday, which can only mean one thing: yesterday wasn't Friday and I should have gone to work today. I suppose it also means this week's Mail Sack has been posted over at Bungie.net, so kick back and relax as DeeJ and company allay concerns over Destiny's single-player offerings, privacy controls, and complete lack of guns. (Plus, our DBO Forum gets a shout-out!)
Head over to this Bungie.net thread and submit a question for the weekly Mail Sack, then come on back to our own water cooler and impress us with your sagacious inquiry!
The first post-E3 mail sack is up! Give it a read and find out what motivates Bungie employees in the aftermath of Destiny's gameplay reveal. Naturally, space magic plays a prominent role.
E3 is over and there are only 19 shopping days left until Bungie Day. If the recent gameplay reveal left a few questions rattling around your skull, be sure to deposit them in this week's Mail Sack thread.
DeeJ wanted to let us all in on a mission ever-so delicate. Join him on a magical journey through time and space, a journey that will come to a slingshotting head this Monday at E3. The end - nay, the beginning, is extremely nigh.
If you just can't wait until next Monday for the answers to your burning Destiny questions, DeeJ has opened the latest mail sack thread for your immediate inquiry. What will you ask, now that the time of enlightenment is so close at hand?
In case you haven't noticed, today is Friday, which means the Bungie Mail Sack has opened once again to answer all of your questions about personal fitness, motherly advice, and [redacted]. This week we get a special treat - Marty has released the background music from the recent trailer "The Law of the Jungle" as a standalone MP3! (Direct Link, 1.43 MB) Thanks, Marty! (And thanks for the heads-up, Xenos.)
Once again, DeeJ has opened the mail sack over at Bungie.net. If you've got a burning question that won't elicit another chorus of "See you at E3", then head over to the thread and ask away!
New mailsack. Go read it. Your cries for love and answers fall not on deaf ears, but on eager fingers. Go see what they type for you.
It's pretty well-known that you shouldn't drop by Bungie's offices unannounced (or even, usually, announced) - they aren't open to the public, and you'll just be wasting your time. Unless, of course, you're Nathan Fillion. Then you can drop by. This, and other interesting info, can be found in this week's Mail Sack - there are some great questions, some silly questions, and answers that span the gamut. There are also a pair of new desktops for your viewing pleasure. (Actually, only the thumbs are in the Sack - the desktops themselves are in the Wallpaper gallery.) Go read, and get pumped - E3 is coming in less than a month!
Bungie has sounded the horn and put out the call for the latest Mail Sack. Heed its instructions and release your queries!
