How about a toggle... (Destiny)

...like being able to select between arc and solar damage on Murmur. I wish they had done something similar for Black Hammer. I would be totally fine having to choose either White Nail or Hive Disruptor. For me, the Hive Disruptor perk would be the more useful of the two in most situations.

I do realize, though, that these are all things that have been applied to weapons, but not armor. There may be some HUGE difference between the two that would make this just as difficult to implement as the actual bug fix.
