Fit For A King

Jospeh Biwald finished up his Bungie community shirt design for PAX Prime 2013 - it's safe to say that the Bungie community will be the best dressed at this years PAX. Follow the Bnet PAX group for more details. Thanks to Bungie Informer for the heads up.

Staying Up, and Feeling Good

This was also posted on our sister site at HBO, but warrants a mention here as well, considering the love and thanks bestowed specifically on Bungie by bungie.org member Mr Daax. He's crafted the latest entry on the Ago of Gratitude site, and it's a great read. Check it out, as well as a ton of other stories that will bring you back and give you warm fuzzies and awesome memories. Go look!

At Bungie, Even the Weather Reports are Epic

Only our Guardians of the Seventh Column can make a sunny day seem like so much more. From their Twitter feed:

"It's amazing how the light of the unshielded daystar improves the mood at Bungie sevenfold. People are blissed out to be wearing shades."

And people wonder why we love them...hope.png

Umbra and Bungie GDC'13 Presentation

umbra-logo.pngUmbra Software has posted a the Bungie/Umbra GDC presentation video to their website for general viewing. The session – titled "Powering up Destiny's Level Creation and Rendering with Umbra 3" â€“ focuses on Umbra 3's occlusion culling system and how Bungie is utilizing it to optimize rendering in Destiny.

We've mentioned this tech before in the context of Destiny and GDC, but now you can watch the session in its entirety. It's a fairly technical presentation, but is certainly interesting if you want to dig into some of the finer points about what's required to bring a modern game title to life.
