I guess that's useful, and I'm not saying I'll never use it, but it also makes me a little sad. I liked how FTB naturally discouraged exclusivity

I had the idea to make private FTB events and they were never intended to encourage excluding people (Beorn of course programmed the feature though, because he's the man). Their real intention is that sometimes you want to schedule an event with specific people, a lot of us do it already, and it's a nice feature to be able to keep track of time and people signed up. I seriously doubt that we'll see a drop in FTB events since public ones serve an entirely different purpose: FINDING people to play with. If it becomes an issue though, I'll talk it over with Beorn and changes can be made (yes, I'm making promises for someone else :).

You're one of the first people I think of when I think of people I'd like to play with, but never see any trace of you playing. (I'm one to talk--I show up as offline a lot.)
