The biggest problem is how complex Kings Fall was. Nobody signed up 7 people for Crota because it took 30 minutes if you did terribly. In King's Fall the precision required was (is) so great that people became afraid to raid with different people.
I think you may like the new raid, then, if the trend I saw in the early going repeats later on.
