Don't mind me. (Destiny)
The biggest problem is how complex Kings Fall was. Nobody signed up 7 people for Crota because it took 30 minutes if you did terribly. In King's Fall the precision required was (is) so great that people became afraid to raid with different people. Having a group of people who aren't used to playing with each other would make tasks take two or three times as long.
That and challenge mode actually made doing the entire raid seem pointless. Which was pretty much the downfall of the raid, imo.
