I’m going by the times I’ve watched her play ReCore and the recent Anthem gameplay videos. The similarity is a product of more than just the third-person perspective, but I can’t put my finger on it.

I kind of see what you're saying. ReCore is an interesting go at platforming; it uses a lot of vertical space. Anthem has you flying around instead, thus the use of vertical space will be even more important.
