I just don’t think it’s as clear cut as that. They can still have a dark tone in general in terms of story and theme even if the aesthetics are neon. It’s a city under assault by Calus and the Pyramids. That’s inherently pretty dark (as dark as Destiny gets, anyway—there’s only so much you can do when we’re turning Oryx’s ass into a hat).

I get it—the obvious city to put in danger is The Last City (I still want to actually go there as a real Destination!).

Just . . . I doubt the bright aesthetics and surprise new faction of humans and general sort of hard left turn ends up actually feeling like that when it’s all said and done.
