This newly introduced arc with Soren is laaaame. It better lead into something important otherwise, it's a story that doesn't need to be told...at all.

We got to see a Brute and that was cool.

John aggressively questioning Halsey if Spartans were humans or machines was good. I like that he is trying to figure out who he is BEFORE everything goes down as opposed to after, like in the games. There's already Master Chief propaganda posters. I still don't know what all has happened in this timeline such that MC is already recognized as such a hero. But...he sees the posters and is yet to have that hero moment where he recognizes that HE IS the hero we need. I'm looking forward to that Halo 3 "Starry Night" moment.
