great question (Destiny)

I've been wondering the same thing recently. Btw, I appreciate the effort involved with pulling those screen captures.

I feel like the story may have lost something along the way: that idea of a book and chapter is far more compelling to me than the disjointedness of said story in the game that shipped. I'm a story guy at heart, and ever since Marathon I've been captivated by Bungie's ability to tell a story through a fps. I suppose my expectations were high for Destiny, but I feel a bit let down by what I've seen so far. Caveat: I have yet to finish the story portion of the game.

I remember being nervous about Joseph Staton's departure last year. Makes me wonder why the lead writer would leave...
