Lack of 310 opportunities (Destiny)

I think the big issue is that there is a large lack of 310 gear outside the raid. This expansion has made it much easier to get gear and level to essentially one (old) level below max, but again the raid is pretty much the only way to max out gear. While I do search for the ideal drops at least if I get one I can usually level it up rather then being stuck with my Vault or CE set.

That said, the roll I got on my raid chest piece is pretty unimpressive.

If IB and Trials drops 310 gear, then that might help alleviate the issue, but right now you need to raid to max out. There are a few quests that give 300 level stuff, but so far it requires hitting the raid to do so.
