I mean, I can see not really liking some of the things Bungie has done now (not having Exotics at a set level is a little odd to me as well), but that statement is pretty unequivocally false. The grind is so much better now it's not even funny. It's entirely too early to tell, but I highly suspect getting to 310 isn't a big deal. Once you're at 300, you're good.
