You can turn off the ability to buy it (Destiny)

His account isn't set up with a credit card, so I'm not worried about that part.

I am worried about him wanting to spend his small amount of personal money on micro-transactions that won't mean much the next day. -I- get to be the bad guy by saying no at that point. :/
