Last Week At Bungie (October 20, slightly delayed)
Sometimes, when someone goes on vacation, everyone goes on vacation.
Last week's update from Bungie came and went without a mention on the front page, and for that I'm sorry. It's a pretty good read, even - there's an interview with the team that beat the Hard raid first, there are previews of upcoming ornaments you'll be able to snag during the Festival of the Lost (more info in another newspost), there are currently known (and recently resolved) issues in the Rise of Iron release, and there are a bunch of fan videos. Go read! We have
a copy locally, as usual.

This Week At Bungie - October 14
Yes, I know, the top of the page says "October 13" - but that's not when it was released. Bungie postponed
this week's info drop by about 12 hours to double-check a few things - if you haven't read it yet (it came out yesterday), you should absolutely do so. (We have
a local copy, of course - it was posted yesterday, even if we forgot to mention it here on the front page.) The big news focuses on the changes coming in the week ahead - on Tuesday, 2.4.1 will drop. This is a new update to enable Hard Mode on the raid, with a bunch of changes that will affect all players, not just raiders. There's also a nice summary of current high-priority issues affecting players from the support team, and some really fun movies in the Movie of the Week section. Go check it all out!

This Week At Bungie - October 6
If you're reading this, you probably know that the Iron Banner is back - and it's full of Crests.
Swing by Bungie.net (or our own
Weekly Update Archive) for the latest 'This Week At Bungie' report, which reminds you about IB, and then goes on with some pretty fascinating news - the Hard mode Raid will unlock on October 18 (a week from this coming Tuesday). Between now and then is another Bungie Bounty event - this one's on the Playstation 4, and will take place next Wednesday (October 12), at 10am Pacific. Be there or be... um, all the shapes on the Shock Controller buttons. As always, there's a report from the Support team, and some pretty cool fan-created movies. (The two-man raid segment run is amazing.) Go read!

This Week At Bungie - 9/29/2016
The weekly update
has been posted at Bungie.net - It's got a ton of interesting stuff! Trials of Osiris is back this weekend, and Iron Banner returns next week. There are also a list of known issues in the game (worth reading), a tally of the fastest teams to finish the new raid, and some fan-created movies. (The last one appears to have been filmed during the Raid - if you're still blind, hold off on that one.) As always, you can find
a local copy in our update archive.

This Week At Bungie - September 22
We neglected to mention the weekly update Bungie dropped yesterday - but you should go read it, if you haven't already. Not surprisingly, it focuses on Rise of Iron. (The Raid drops today!) There's some super-cool concept art, a list of support issues still on the table (or resolved), and some fun fan videos. As always, there's a local version if you need it.

This Week At Bungie - September 8
This was
posted on Bungie.net (and
localized) yesterday, but hey, it was a busy afternoon. This week's update talks about the Rise of Iron soundtrack (coming soon to a Bungie Store near you), recaps the update info we posted yesterday, summarizes the new Achievements/Trophies coming in Rise of Iron, lists some known issues with the new update, and covers the staples we see every week (Challenge high scores, fan videos). Man... that last video... I think I might have rage quit if I'd been on the other team. Anyway, go read! Good stuff.

This Week At Bungie - September 1
It's time for PAX, and
the weekly update from Bungie reflects that fact! Community meetups, a local Rumble tournament, special shwag... the weekend is full. If you're not in Seattle, don't worry - there's news about other stuff, too. A Private Match livestream from MLG is happening soon. Bungie commissioned a pretty amazing axe, and there's a video showing how it was made. Tips, as always, are available from the Player Support team. Scores for the top Challenge of Elders players are available for perusal. Videos from fans are included. And images from last week's DestinyCon have been added in. All in all, a full update! There's
a local version, as you might expect.

This Week At Bungie - August 25
This Week At Bungie, the regular collection of "things you should be paying attention to" Bungie posts every week, was released yesterday, as is usual for a Thursday. Check it out - it contains a couple of really cool sections. The first one details some of the shwag you'll be able to buy if you're lucky enough to be coming to PAX next week... while the second shows off some fantastic Rise of Iron artwork. (There's plenty of other stuff, too - help tips from the support team, top scores in Challenge of Elders, fan videos... you know.) Go give it a read! We've got
a local copy, as well.

This Week At Bungie - August 18
Whoops. Localized this yesterday, but forgot to actually mention it.
Bungie's latest informational update is live - it contains some of the biggest info bits revealed at Gamescom this week (Private Matches in Rise of Iron, the new ViDoc, the Livestream), plus some extra fun stuff you may have missed if you don't follow Bungie on Twitter. Oh... and the movie of the week made me cry. Read it on B.net - or
read it here. But read it.

Happy Bungie Day!
Swing by Bungie.net and read about the goodies on offer for Bungie Day! The Year 2 Moments of Triumph book is now available, and if you haven't finished the tasks within, you've got until September 20 to do so! New schwag is available in the Bungie Store, and buying it this week nets you a pretty cool in-game emblem. There's plenty more, so go and see! (We have a local copy as well, since this is the standard This Week At Bungie post this week, too.)

This Week At Bungie - June 30
There is a calm over at Bungie studios right now. One of those calms where you can feel the electricity in the air as the impending storm approaches; which is to say that there's not much in the way of news in this week's update. But with Bungie Day around the corner, you can bet that it won't be the case next week. For now, Iron Banner is here, and Bungie is highlighting the various wolf-packs in the community, Destiny Player Support details the changes coming to Legacy consoles, and Cozmo provides the Elder Champions and MotW clips.
Enjoy the silence, but be sure to pack an umbrella for the next couple of weeks.

This Week At Bungie - June 23
It's that time again - even a little early, maybe. DeeJ is back on the job, bringing us this week's Update. If you've been anxious to try those recent Hunter changes in Trials of Osiris, then get ready for Hot Fix 2.3.0.1, which aims to squash a nasty bug that has been cancelling your endgame PvP experiences (Iron Banner also makes a return next week).
Hunter stats, Challenge champs (close week!), Player Support, and three MotW clips round out the update, with a tease of what's to come (Bungie Day!), so check it out! A local copy is available as always (thanks, Claude), if you prefer.

This Week At Bungie - June 17
It's that time again - even a little late, maybe. Cozmo is on the job, though, and there's
a weekly update from Bungie on their website. What's in it, you ask? Well... let's see. The Away Team is in LA,
wearing red discussing Rise of Iron. The home team is monitoring changes introduced in your gameplay environment this past Tuesday. Iron Banner is coming next week, folks are experimenting with the new Chroma colors, Elder Champions scores are lower than usual (thanks, Trickle!), and a couple of great videos are presented for your amusement. Go read! (Or
locally, if you'd rather.)

This Week At Bungie - June 9
As you might expect,
the current update from Bungie is focused on The Rise of Iron expansion, coming this fall. (It was revealed this morning, so why WOULDN'T it be the topic of conversation?) Swing by for links to all of the media links released so far (including some sweet new desktops). The normal stuff is there, too - tidbits from the Destiny Player Support team (new update coming soon), scores from the highest-performing Challenge of Elders players, fun videos. (The 60 second Golgoroth kill is pretty impressive; if Bungie hasn't fixed their link yet, our
local archive copy has a corrected one.) Check it out!

This Week At Bungie - June 2
The
update available this week is light - but still worth reading. Not going to E3? You should watch next week's Twitch stream, then, for more info on what's coming in the fall. Wondering about numbers from last week's Iron Banner? Deej's got 'em for you. Having problems with in-game unlocks? Destiny Player Support has your back. Did you score high in last week's Challenge of Elders? The top 3 teams are listed. Wanna watch some cool vids? Cozmo's got some doozys. (I had no clue you could throw a grenade through that slot on Dungeons...) Go read! Thanks,
CyberKN. We have
a local version, as usual.

weekly report out of Bungie headquarters this week is a summary of what we've seen in the last few days: a new Ride-Along, a new hotfix, a new Iron Banner, help with in-game Roster problems, details of the high scorers this week in the Challenge of Elders, and some great fan-made movies. Go give it a read! (We have
a local copy as well, if you need it.)

This Week At Bungie - May 19
Swing by Bungie to read
the latest weekly update (or find it in
our local archive) - it's got some important info. The biggest bit is the fact that a bug
found recently in the way the Cocoon perk works has caused this weekend's Trials of Osiris (and possibly next week's Iron Banner) to be cancelled - stay tuned for info on when things will be back to normal. Even if you don't play either one of those modes, go give it a read - there's a look back at yesterday's Raid-Along (I'm sorry I didn't make that pun myself this morning), along with high scores for this week's Challenge of Elders, help tips and hints, and some fun videos. ('Nova-Bummed' made me laugh out loud.) Go read!

Today's
update from Bungie covers some interesting topics; there's a recap of yesterday's Twitch stream, in which Bungie artists hold forth on the beauty of the Destiny universe... there are some previews of upcoming Destiny Companion features that will make it easier to find playing companions... there's info on the latest updates to the multiplayer code (are your melees hitting better now?)... and there are a couple of great fan-generated videos. Go read! (It's also
local, as usual, if you need it.)

This Week at Bungie - May 6
Likely recovering from the Cinco de Mayo hangovers, the folks over at Bungie have given us
a pretty light update this week:
- A reminder of the upcoming melee fix (scheduled for activation on May 10, but the fix itself was included in the update released a few days ago).
- Information on the rest of this month's scheduled Twitch streams.
- Some Update-based troubleshooting info from Destiny Player Support.
- The highest-scoring teams on the melee-themed Challenge of the Elders (all hailing from the same clan!).
- And a couple of entertaining clips (including a solo Crota's End completion in just over eight minutes!).
As always, a
local version is also available. Pop those knuckles, Guardians!

This Week At Bungie - April 21
The
weekly recap from Bungie is light this time around - it focuses on Iron Banner, which drops again on Tuesday. This iteration is Clash-based, and a bunch of behind-the-scenes work should make it more rewarding than the last few runs. Read the update for all the details! There's also some interesting stats from the first week of Challenge of Elders, more details from the Help team, and some cool videos. Check it all out! (
