Android Preview (Today Only)

MrPadraig08
pointed out a
tweet that announced that if you participated in the Alpha, AND you have an Android phone, you can check out a preview of the Destiny Companion App, just for today. (Hurry!) If you are lacking in any of those three requirements (date, gameplay, phone), you can check out
some pictures of the app, courtesy of

Attention to Detail, Polished Combat
Eurogamer's Digital Foundry posted an extensive tech analysis of the Destiny Alpha - frame rate monitoring, graphics detail, a look at some of the background stuff... it's a great read. Check it out! Thanks, DaDerga.

Playstation Exclusive Content Detailed

Anyone who watched the Sony Press Conference at E3 last week knows that there will be exclusive content for Playstation owners once Destiny releases... but the actual details were murky until now. (Actually, some of the details are STILL murky - it's not clear at this point whether these are timed exclusives, or absolute exclusives, and if they're timed, when that time runs out.) The Playstation blog
posted details on the goodies PS4 owners will get access to - and it's a pretty extensive list! One strike, one multiplayer map, gear for each class, two weapons, and three ships... swing by the site for pictures of everything! Thanks,
ZackDark.

Fan-Built Skill Calculator

Over on reddit, user birkholz
built a Skill Calculator for the three classes, based on what he could see in the Alpha. It seems to be finished (except for maybe the graphics) - you can play with it
here. Pretty useful for folks checking out the options - and it'll be fun to use it to compare how things change in the Beta and beyond!

All Good Things Must End
We'd like to apologize for the lack of timeliness - but you might have noticed some of your PS4 friends playing the Destiny Alpha today, even though it was supposed to end yesterday. Bungie pushed the deadline out a bit - this was tweeted at midnight last night:
As of this writing, though, it's over:
Hope you enjoyed it!
