so what happens lore wise when we revive a dead ghost and it floats away? can he not go find his long-dead guardian and revive him?

I actually don't know for sure what the official lore on dead ghosts are, aside from the Grimoire card. I get the impression that we aren't actually fully reviving them, just powering them to get information from them.
