Xbox competitive night? (Destiny)

I'll toss my hat into this ring, if anyone will have it. I generally enjoy Competitive (surprisingly, to me), but I mostly have ZERO idea about strats. The (very few) games I've played have been with folks who are light-years above me, skill and experience wise, and I'm basically running behind people, trying to figure out the maps and not get killed. I'd love to actually contribute - but it has to be on teams that are okay with my cluelessness. :)

I'm basically in the same boat, but I was surprised at how quickly it felt like I was improving. I've only played three decent nights of Competitive, but when I'm with a good team that communications well, it's easier to sort of find a groove and feel like I'm actually performing well and contributing instead of just being a boat anchor everyone else has to drag around.

Being able to just follow Cruel's lead helps a lot, too. (:
