Initial thoughts on the new season? (Destiny)

The armor drops are not as bad as I thought, you seem to get a piece on successful completion of Reckoning. There doesn't seem to be a mechanic other then the modifiers, which makes it kind of bland. I liked the Court of Oryx's boss mechanics, although it made things somewhat hard to do with randoms.

Gambit Prime really needs a good team to be successful. So far my experience with randoms has been getting stomped extra hard. The coordination needed to win is a step above base gambit, especially with the blocker mote stealing mechanics.

The change to power level is annoying, as a substitute for any real advancement. With engrams from the Dreaming city only giving 3 PL higher, it's going to be a long slog to 700.

We need new Strikes, PVP maps and something new to keep those fresh. The rework to Gambit is nice, but now there needs to be work done on the rest of the game.
