So again, what the hell are you on about?
Xbox is literally the only platform you cannot turn them off on. I have not seen an ad on a game console since I played Halo 5 many years ago. Is that so hard to understand?
I'd much prefer no ads as default, but if I can turn it off I'm fine with it I guess. You cannot turn them off on Xbox.
I would not have a switch if it looked like that when I turned it on. Here's what I see:

Steam… honestly it had a "here's games you haven't tried section", which is why I use GOG.
